Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp flour
- powdered garlic
- powdered onion
- grated Parmesan cheese
- 1.5 cups whole milk (or more)
- splash lemon juice (optional)
Method

1In medium, heavy-bottomed pot, melt butter with garlic & onion.

2Stir in flour & pepper. Cook 2 minutes.

3Add milk all at once. Cook and stir constantly over Medium heat until bubbly & thickened. Be careful not to scorch the bottom.

4Cook 1 minute.

5Add cheese. Stir to melt.

6If sauce is too thick, add milk at any time.

7Serve over pasta.
Variations
White Bean Alfredo-Style Sauce
Add:
1-2 handfuls cooked white beans
(May need more butter for flavor)
Optional:
Use an immersion blender to hide the beans, but add an extra 1/4 ~ 1/2 cup milk.
If the sauce is too "bean-y," add 1-2 Tbsp lemon juice.

Secret Ingredient: Egg Yolk
(Before adding cheese)
Spoon a bit of sauce into a small bowl.
Mix in 1 egg yolk, then mix back into the pan.
Cook 3-5 minutes.
